Just don’t expect to travel quickly; the engine’s thrust is inevitably weak when pushed to the limit. Aside from that, the vehicle is simple to live with.

The majority of passengers will find the cabin to be quite agreeable. The noise level is minimal, and the climate control system is superior. A few minor flaws, including a firm ride and a rear bench with inadequate quadriceps support, prevent it from being the most passenger-friendly vehicle.

Mazda CX-5 models for 2018
The 2018 Mazda CX-5 crossover is available in Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring specification levels. All models feature front-wheel drive, with optional all-wheel drive. The only available engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Every CX-5 comes standard with 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen, a rearview camera, 40/20/40-split folding and reclining rear seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a four-speaker sound system, Bluetooth, a four-speaker stereo, and two USB connections. Also included are forward collision warning and mitigation at low speeds and blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
The optional Sport i-Activsense package includes automatic high beams, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, enhanced forward collision warning and mitigation, and automated windshield wipers.
The Touring trim adds an abundance of appealing comfort features, including 19-inch wheels, key-less ignition and entry, heated front seats, faux leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver seat, two additional speakers, and two additional USB ports. It also comes standard with the i-Activsense suite of safety features. The optional Touring Preferred package includes navigation, a 10-speaker Bose audio system upgrade, a sunroof, and a hydraulic lift-gate.
The Grand Touring adds leather upholstery, driver-seat memory settings, a power-adjustable passenger seat, satellite radio, and LED fog-lights and taillights to the aforementioned features. The available Grand Touring Premium upgrade includes a head-up display with traffic sign recognition, a heated steering wheel, heated outboard second-row seats, and windshield wiper de-icing.
