on Monday, July 24, the government arraigned the former Mungiki leader at Makadara Law Courts and charged him with three counts. , Njenga is accused of planning to commit a felony after he was allegedly found in possession of assorted weapons. The prosecution alleged that Njenga was found in possession of offensive weapons, including 14 machetes, 24 Maasai swords, 46 rungus, and three jembe sticks. “On July 20, at Kiserian area within Kajiado county were found with armed offensive weapons n circumstances that indicated that they were so armed with intent to commit a felony,” charge sheet reads. Njenga was further charged with organizing illegal demonstrations against the demonstrations against the Kenya Kwanza government.
