Five people have died as a result of clashes between police and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party demonstrators.
Police are accused of shooting three protestors dead at Mlolongo on Wednesday, July 12 during the demonstrations. After the demonstrators blocked off and vandalized the motorway barrier, Citizen TV claimed that three persons were shot and killed near the Mlolongo motorway Toll Station. Similar to the previous incident, violent anti-Kenya Kwanza rallies resulted in the deaths of two persons in Kitengela, Kajiado county. According to the police, violent altercations in Kitengela town resulted in more than ten further injuries and hospital admissions.
