If you ask any San Francisco 49ers fan, their season will be a failure without a Super Bowl.

They were just about 60 seconds away from their season being cut short, but in the most important part of their season, their quarterback, once Mr. Irrelevant, stepped up.

The 49ers fought back from a fourth quarter deficit to take down the Green Bay Packers, 24-21, to earn a trip to the NFC championship

Green Bay missed a crucial field goal opportunity to extend their lead by seven, granting the Niners possession from their own 31 with 6:18 remaining. In a remarkable turn of events, Brock Purdy, despite struggling with throws earlier, orchestrated an impressive drive. He completed six of seven passes, with the sole in-completion attributed to a George Kittle drop. The drive culminated in a six-yard Christian McCaffrey touchdown, his second of the night, propelling San Fran to a 24-21 lead with 1:07 left on the clock.

Despite the Packers having all three timeouts, a pivotal moment occurred when, after using their first timeout, Jordan Love made an ill-advised throw on the run across his body. The pass was intercepted by Dre Greenlaw, essentially sealing the victory for the Niners. Brock Purdy then took a knee to run down the clock, securing his team’s place in the NFC championship game for the fourth time in five years.

The Ravens showcased a stellar second-half performance against the Texans, propelling them to advance to the AFC Title Game

Green Bay initiated the scoring with a field goal, coming close to a potential pick-six for a double-digit lead, but the opportunity slipped away with a dropped interception by Darnell Savage. Compounding their misfortune, the Packers failed to convert on a fourth down, with the spot being a subject of contention. The Niners capitalized with a 12-play drive culminating in Purdy connecting with Kittle for a 32-yard touchdown. Green Bay settled for another field goal in the second quarter, and San Fran’s attempt to match was thwarted as their field goal was tipped at the line, keeping the score at 7-6 at halftime.

At halftime, Deebo Samuel was ruled out due to a shoulder injury, and the absence was felt as the Niners struggled with a three-and-out to start the second half. A crucial third-and-long penalty positioned the Packers in the red zone, leading to Love finding Bo Melton for a touchdown and a 13-7 lead. The Niners responded fittingly with a 39-yard rushing touchdown by McCaffrey, but the Packers quickly countered.

Recovering their own fumble on the ensuing kickoff, Green Bay advanced to the opposing 20, and Love connected with Tucker Kraft for a touchdown. Their successful two-point conversion made it 21-14 late in the third quarter

However, that marked the end of Green Bay’s scoring, as San Fran would go on to outscore the Packers 10-0 in the fourth quarter, securing a comeback victory.
